Board duties are discussed in Starting a Branch in the topic Duties of the Branch Board. Check your Bylaws for term limits of your Board.
Committees are an important part of the structure and evolution of your branch.
The chairs help the Board accomplish the goals and direction of your branch. Typically your Board will chair committees. Larger branches will have a number of committees to help the Board and those chairs report to the President and/or Vice President. Committee requirements will change from year to year and will grow as your membership gets larger and depends on the branch goals. Getting Chairs and committee members to join a committee is key and can be hard. Some sample Surveys to find your members interest in helping and their strengths will follow at the end of this topic, as well as a link to an Election Protocol.
